Rain Bodywork offers therapeutic massage that gently washes away tension, restores balance, and supports the body's natural capacity to heal - from deep relaxation to precise, medical massage care.

Relaxation Massage

A person receiving a massage, lying face down on a massage table with a towel underneath. The massage therapist's hands are on the person's back.

Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.

Medical Massage

Person receiving a head massage or chiropractic adjustment on a woman with long blonde curly hair, lying peacefully on a massage table.

This approach goes beyond relaxation-focused massage, prioritizing assessment, adaptability, and meaningful change to improve movement, reduce pain, and support overall function. Movement patterns, tissue quality, and areas of restriction are assessed, and an appropriate combination of hands-on techniques, movement-based work, and specialized tools is applied to address underlying contributors rather than just symptoms. Each session is built in real time based on how the body presents that day.

Prenatal Relaxation Massage

Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Cushions and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen. Must be 12-43 weeks in pregnancy to book.

Buccal Massage

A woman receives a facial massage while lying down, with her eyes closed and a white towel wrapped around her shoulders. A person is gently touching her face during the treatment, in a setting with green plants in the background.

Intra-Oral/Buccal massage is a technique that works on the muscles in the mouth. The session includes a brief massage of chest, neck, shoulder and facial muscles. Since it deals with muscles that are rarely touched, they respond to slow, methodic and gentle pressure.
